Nurturing Fathers Course - Parenting  Skills We Need 
Castle Rock, Douglas County, Colorado - Fathers and area families are invited to participate in an eight session free parenting education program that begins Tuesday, April 26, 2011.

The free Nurturing Fathers Parenting Program is open to all fathers and men who want to build their fathering skills and improve relationships with their children. This course is presented through Men of Valor, Inc, a  501 (c) 3 non-profit entity.  www.menofvalor.net  The classes will cover topics such as nurturing skills, positive discipline, effective family communication and how to manage anger and stress.

 
The first class runs 7:00-9:00 p.m. Tuesday, April 26, 2011 at the Community Life Center Building ( room 202) which is attached to the front of the Cherry Creek Presbyterian Church, 10150 E. Belleview Ave, Englewood, CO, 80111.   See Google Maps for directions.  Subsequent classes through June 14, 2011, last from 7:00–8:30 pm.

Dinner snacks are provided.  There will be a bonus gift for completing the course.

Every child deserves a Nurturing Father - A man who actively provides guidance, love, and support to enhance the development and growth of children for whom he cares. The Nurturing Fathers Program is an evidence–based, 8 week training course designed to teach parenting and nurturing skills to men.  Each 1 1/2 hour class provides proven, effective skills for healthy family relationships and child development.  NFP has been successfully implemented in schools, Head Start, churches, SDSS, state prisons, halfway houses, Prevent Child Abuse, parenting and counseling centers, military, community action agencies and many others.  This course has been approved by the Colorado Promoting Responsible Fatherhood Program of the Colorado DHS.
